Canopy tours among creative meeting venues offered at Texas conference center

Canopy tours zipping through 100-year-old cypress trees are among the various unusual meeting venues being offered at Barton Creek Resort & Spa.

Guides escort participants who get a bird’s eye view from the trees of the Texas Hill Country. Various team activities are also featured.

Barton Creek has in its backyard one of only five canopy tours in the US, according to the resort.

The resort in Austin, Texas, also offers events that include playing musical instruments with professionals, go-kart racing, jewelry making and a chili cook-off competition.

“Competing teams will have a large selection of basic ingredients to choose from, everything will be labeled, and the chefs at Barton Creek will prepare the ingredients,” said a public relations spokesperson.

The 300-room Barton Resort has 72 holes of golf and a full-service spa. It has 32,000 square feet of meeting space.
