Carnival promises more onboard fun
NEW YORK – Extensive refurbishments are being made to Carnival’s eight “Fantasy-class” ships as part of the company’s wide-ranging,US $250 million “Evolutions of Fun” initiative.
Among the upgrades are an expanded and redesigned main pool and deck area and the addition of Carnival Waterworks, an aqua park with a four-deck-high waterslide, side-by-side racing waterslides and water spray apparatus.
There’s a new, no-kids outdoor area called Serenity.
Evolutions of Fun will also include overhauled spas and remodeled staterooms and suites.
Some existing oceanview staterooms will receive private balconies. A new facility called Circle C will be added for kids between the ages of 12 and 14.
The Carnival Inspiration, Carnival Imagination, Carnival Fantasy and Carnival Sensation were the first ships to be updated, and the remaining four ships in the Fantasy class – Carnival Ecstasy, Carnival Fascination, Carnival Elation and Carnival Paradise – will undergo refurbishment during the next few years.
