Carnival Vista has 27 positive Covid cases
There are a total of 27 Covid-positive people on board Carnival Vista. All but one of them are ship crew members and all were vaccinated. It is the highest number of positive cases on a ship departing the US since the cruise restart.
Carnival Cruise Line had declined to give the figure, stating it was only a ‘small number’ of cases but the number was stated in a Belize Tourism Board statement when the ship docked there.
The affected crew members and passenger ‘remain in quarantine and/or isolation on board,’ the cruise line said.
