CarTrawler enhances booking technology
CarTrawler has switched on its latest ‘Direct Connect’ technology for its airline, consumer and business partner web sites.
The new technology means customers using CarTrawler’s AJAX booking engine will be able to retrieve pricing, availability and also confirm bookings up to one hour before pickup time.
The company claims this is the first time consumers can make a booking guaranteed on the car rental supplier’s own inventory system immediately.
“We have finally solved one of the biggest problems in the car rental industry – by completely eliminating the manual processes of confirming consumer bookings with the car rental companies,” said Niall Turley, director of CarTrawler.
CarTrawler is a ‘next generation’ global car rental distribution system, enabling agents, airlines or hotels to access pricing, availability and bookings from over 450 car rental suppliers globally in real-time, from within their own web site.
