Cathay flight in emergency landing

Passengers on a Cathay Pacific A330 leaving Singapore this morning were forced to return to the city an hour after take off because of an engine fire.
Pilots on flight CX715, bound for Jakarta, received an alert that one of the Rolls Royce engines was not working just after take-off. They shut down the engine and made an emergency landing at Changi airport.
There fire crews put out the sparks that were emerging from number two engine and the 136 passengers disembarked safely.
A spokesman for Cathay Pacific said the incident was now under investigation and that affected passengers had been transferred onto other flights.
