Cathay Pacific adding yoga workout videos to inflight entertainment
A new programme from Cathay Pacific now allows flyers to practise asanas in the air.
Cathay has teamed up with Pure Yoga to launch a new inflight well-being video series, ‘Travel Well with Yoga.’
The videos are presented by Pure Yoga instructors to help passengers ease into their flight with yoga and meditation exercises and mindfulness tips.
They are produced in English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese on all Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon routes via the Lifestyle section on seatback entertainment screens.
Most moves can be performed in one’s seat aboard the plane.
"We all know that sitting still for a long period of time can be uncomfortable. The need to get up, move and get your blood pumping is important during a flight. Yoga is an innovative way to do this. There are a series of exercises that can easily be done from an economy class seat whilst other moves are suitable for after the flight in your hotel," said Simon Cuthbert, Cathay Pacific entertainment, platforms and connectivity manager.
Cathay Pacific Marco Polo Club members are being offered extra perks with 50% off Pure Yoga studio joining fees, and complimentary upgrades to access all Pure Yoga studios in Asia.
