Cebu Pacific will launch twice weekly Doha flights
The Philippines’ largest low cost carrier Cebu Pacific will debut twice weekly direct flights to Doha, Qatar from June.
The only Philippine carrier serving the route, CEB’s maiden flight takes off from Manila to Doha on June 4.
To celebrate the new route, the airline has launched introductory fares starting at QR88 (US$24.15), for sale until March 22 or until seat availability is exhausted, it said.
It will deploy brand-new Airbus A330-300 aircraft, with 436 all-economy class seats on the route.
“We are excited to offer Cebu Pacific’s trademark low fares to travellers in Doha, especially since we are the only low-cost carrier operating this route,” said CEB long haul general manager Alex Reyes.
“With our expanding network, Qatar becomes more accessible from the Philippines, and the Filipino community can reunite with their families more often.”
The route is targeting both tourists and the large Filipino expat community.
Qatar has the third-largest Filipino community in the Middle East, with over 260,000 nationals based there according to government overseas employment estimates.
