Cendant shuffles travel execs
Cendant Travel Distribution Services has a new president and chief executive for its international markets division. Gordon Wilson, current managing director of the division has been with the company for 14 years. In his new role Mr Wilson will oversee the corporate, agency and consumer distribution channels in a bid to pursue the company’s goal of maximising diverse content and making it available through multiple distribution channels. Reporting to Mr Wilson will be Jonathon Siddons, previously senior vice president for global product, and now holding the lengthy title of senior vice president corporate travel solutions, international markets. Mr Siddons will work with travel management companies and corporate clients and promote the use of Cendant’s self booking tools from Travelport. Also reporting to the new president will be Evans Gebhardt, who takes the role of president for consumer travel international markets and will look after ebookers among other consumer brands including Ratestogo.com and HotelClub.com. Mr Siddons and Mr Gebhardt will work alongside Chris Vukelich, who joined Cendant last month as chief operating officer for the trade channels in EMEA and Asia Pacific regions. Mr Wilson commented that the management changes mark a marked expansion of Cendant in the past year, in particular into the consumer and business travel markets. Report by Ginny McGrath
