CenterParcs on the rise
There were few significant changes among travel shares yesterday, as London’s main equity markets struggled to make any headway.
The FTSE 100 index dropped 8.6 points to end the day at 4910.3, while the FTSE 250 had a better day, gaining 9.2 points to close at 6790.
Perhaps the most significant move came at CenterParcs, which added 4.25p to close at 60p after releasing a positive trading update.
The shares appear likely to grow in value in the future too, following a “buy” recommendation in today’s edition of The Independent, which notes that the stock has “long-term potential”.
