Charter deal to link HCMC to Adelaide

Adelaide Airport has clinched a new charter route from Vietnam.

Vietnam Airlines will operate charters flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Adelaide from November 20 to end of December.

The flight has been arranged through charter company Aspirion Air.

Adelaide Airport is hoping the charters could pave the way for scheduled flights from Vietnam Airlines.

The Vietnamese flag carrier already operates scheduled flights to Melbourne and Sydney.

"We see the attraction of charter flights such as these as an important step in our efforts to attract more international airlines and flights to Adelaide, and we have been working closely with the state government, Bunnik Tours and our aviation consultancy, Aspirion, to achieve this," said Adelaide Airport managing director, Phil Baker.
