Check in? Just a minute

Sheraton Speed Check self-service kiosks now being rolled out will allow guests to check-in in less than 60 seconds, according to the hotel chain. In addition to offering speedy service, the kiosks are the most flexible in the world, according to Norman MacLeod, executive vice president of Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. The kiosks allow hotel guests to receive messages, get additional room keys and upgrades, change their room type and view, and print and e-mail personal folios. The new kiosks made their debut recently at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers after being tested in two locations. More than two dozen more US properties will get the kiosks in the next few months. Report by David Wilkening
