Chengdu flight will switch from Gatwick to Heathrow
Air China will be moves its direct service London and Chengdu from Gatwick to London Heathrow on April 2.
The service, which was launched in July last year, will operate from Heathrow’s Terminal 2.
The airline said switching to Heathrow would provide passengers with a ‘more efficient and convenient’ experience.
General manager Air China UK Jingjie Li said: "As the national flag carrier of China and a member of Star Alliance, we are continuously looking for ways to improve our services and flight routes between the UK and China.
"After near a successful year of flying to and from London Gatwick, the move in terminals will ensure that the ‘Sky Golden Bridge’ route between the UK and China heightens our passenger’s enjoyment making their continuing journey into London easier and more convenient."
The airline will also take its London Heathrow-Beijing services to three daily flights from March 31.
