China regulator to approve US-China flight capacity boost

China’s aviation regulator is set to soon approve a big increase in US-China flight capacity.
Chine this week reopened to quarantine-free travel.
The Civil Aviation Administration of China will hold talks with US counterparts to ‘promote the smooth resumption of flights’ broadcaster CCTV said.
US-China flight capacity has been severely restricted for nearly three years.
Flights are operated by just a few airlines from a limited number of airports.
U.S. and Chinese carriers have submitted applications to boost flight frequencies.
