China Southern goes flat-out for Australia
China Southern Airlines will begin flying from April 1 its latest Airbus A330-200 aircraft on Perth and Brisbane routes offering Business Class passengers flatbeds and personal seatback TV screens throughout all classes.
China Southern regional general manager Australia/New Zealand, Henry He, said: "Australia remains our key overseas market and to ensure its success we plan to continually update our product and improve our service to offer the best travelling experience on our Canton Route."
China Southern Airlines presently offers 45 flights to Australia and New Zealand during the summer peak, with plans to increase services to 55 scheduled weekly flights by the end of 2015.
Latest figures show China Southern carried 385,706 passengers to Australia in 2012, a 57% increase on the 246,000 passengers the airline flew to Australia in 2011.
