China Southern taps CyberSource for enhanced fraud management

China Southern Airlines is stepping up the fight against fraud by teaming up with payment processor CyberSource.
 
The partnership will offer a streamlined online payment experience using CyberSource’s payment processing and fraud management solutions including the CyberSource global payment gateway.
 
In practice, it allows China Southern to easily process payments from various card types and brands worldwide and integrating it with major commerce platforms.
 
"With competition heating up in the online travel space, China Southern aims to differentiate itself by elevating our customer’s payment experience on the web, and increasing our checkout conversion rate, while keeping fraud down," the airline said.
 
With Asia set to become the largest digital travel market, CyberSource’s customized payment processing and fraud management solution enables us to optimize our entire payment process across the complete order lifecycle, thus improving the number of successful transactions."
 
China’s largest airline will also implement CyberSource’s Decision Manager which provides automated real-time screening for inbound orders to help cut down on fraud chargebacks.
 
Decision Manager leverages insights from 68 billion transactions processed annually by Visa and CyberSource
