Citalia launches travel to Italy by rail

Friday, 19 Dec, 2017 0

Citalia has introduced travel options to Italy from the UK completely by rail for the first time.

Citalia customers can now board a train in London and travel to Italy by train, stopping at  either Paris or Zurich, where Citalia can arrange overnight accommodation at a range of hotels.

Within Italy there are both high-speed internal train options between major cities and scenic lines that travel between smaller towns and villages.

Sample itineraries include Eurostar from St Pancras to Lake Garda via Paris with a stopover in Zurich and Venice. The seven-night package costs £1,339 per person.

Other options include London-Rome and London-Sorrento.

Special offer bookings for trips taking in multi destinations between December 26 and January 31 are available with free first-class Italian rail transfers and savings of up to 35%.
