CLIA to host first ever South Pacific Cruise Forum
Cruise Lines International Association Australasia has announced plans for the first ever South Pacific Cruise Forum this year.
The event, organised by South Pacific Cruise Alliance is slated for Tahiti this October.
The forum which takes place on October 16-17 will bring together the region’s tourism ministers, destination management companies ports authorities, cruise and shipping firms, airlines and tour operators.
"The South Pacific region has always been a hotspot for Australian and New Zealand cruisers but there is still so much potential for growth," said CLIA Australasia’s general manager, Brett Jardine.
"Cruise lines are continuing to open up new ports in the region and offering new itineraries that take cruisers to some of the world’s most picturesque islands."
More than 50 different cruise ships carrying nearly half a million cruisers are scheduled to call at ports in the South Pacific during 2015, CLIA said.
