Clothes make the airline?
Delta Air Lines employees are getting a makeover.
The airline may be bankrupt but it hired Los Angeles designer Richard Tyler who unveiled the new uniforms this week.
They feature splashes of gold and platinum to go with the airline’s traditional navy blue and red.
“The struggling carrier views the uniforms as a way to boost morale among employees and customers,” said the Associated Press.
Company officials would not disclose the price tag but new uniforms typically break down to about $1,000 per employee.
Female employees are getting new wrap dresses, felt hats and silk scarves.
Men are receiving fancy dress shirts, a reversible all-weather coat and a reversible black bucket hat.
