Club Med appoints manager to oversee Hays and Midcounties accounts
Club Med has appointed Jo Turney to its agency sales and MICE team to oversee two key retail accounts.
Turney will act as the strategic account manager for Hays Travel and Midcounties Co-operative to foster and develop the relationship with independent agents.
In the newly-created role, Turney will be in charge of developing Club Med’s retail strategy.
Turney formerly held managerial roles at the Freedom Travel Group and the wider Thomas Cook Group, developing multimillion-pound partnership and sale strategies.
"I am thrilled about my new challenge with Club Med as it is a brand with a long history and an exciting future," she said.
"It gives me the opportunity to sit on the other side of the fence building business with our key partners Hays Travel and Midcounties Co-operative where there is so much potential. I can’t wait to get started."
Estelle Giraudeau, managing director, Club Med UK and Northern Europe, added: "We are experiencing significant growth both with direct and indirect sales and plan to emulate this further with our strong trade partners such as Hays Travel and Midcounties.
"At Club Med, we pride ourselves on our excellent relationships with our retail partners and we are excited for Jo to foster the relationships with Hays Travel and Midcounties Co-operative to further develop the retail side of the Club Med business."
