CNG wins Telme deal
CNG Group has reached a deal with Telme Farebase to add hotel inventory to Telme’s offering.
The deal means agents using the Telme Farebase search and booking engine for air fares will now have access to CNG’s 25,000 hotels, which can be booked in real time. The inventory includes private and GDS product, and CNG claims it pays a commission above the industry average, although it varies depending on the deal reached with each supplier.
Agents using Telme Farebase include First Choice, Wayfarer Travel and Concorde Travel. Peter Muller, managing director of TelMe Farebase told TravelMole that although agents using his company’s solution already have access to hotel inventory through the Galileo GDS and through NIS Conferma, the way CNG structures its contractual and commission deals makes it an attractive addition to the Telme offering.
Commenting on the deal CNG vice president EMEA, Tim Wright said: “We are seeing strong interest and firm commitment from businesses like TelMe Farebase which want to extend their service offer to their agency customers.”
CNG last week announced preferred supplier agreements with WIN Travel, a group of independent travel agents that includes 1,000 Advantage agents.
