Co-operative Travel acquires Hertfordshire agencies
The Co-operative Travel has bought four Andes Travel agencies in Hertfordshire for an undisclosed sum.
The agencies – in Hitchin, Stevenage, Harpenden and Welwyn Garden City – will become The Co-operative Travel this week.
A branch in Hitchin branch has moved into a large new site and has undergone a refit so that it now includes a Travel Money Bureau.
The Co-operative Travel’s regional manager Jenny Hollis said: “We have been looking to open branches in Hertfordshire for some time, so when the opportunity came to take on Andes Travel we took it immediately.
“All of the staff are being retained, so it’s the same familiar faces allied with the knowledge and trust that come with The Co-operative brand.”
The Co-operative Travel agencies are on Hermitage Road, Hitchin; Station Road, Harpenden; Fretherne Road, Welwyn; and The Forum in Stevenage.
