Coffee Republic boss to speak at WTM
The co-founder of Coffee Republic is to be one of the headline speakers at this year’s world Travel Market.
Sahar Hashemi will give the WTM Business Lecture on November 11 at the show in London.
She is a speaker ambassador for the Prince’s Trust and has been named as one of the 100 most influential women in Britain by the Daily Mail and one of the 20 most powerful women in Britain under 35 by the Independent on Sunday.
WTM group exhibition director Fiona Jeffery said: “Now in its fourth year, the Business Lecture has built a reputation of being an opportunity for industry professionals to hear one of the world’s leading entrepreneurs outline how they have succeeded in a highly competitive marketplace and how the travel and tourism industry can benefit from their views on business, management, creativity and branding. “
Meanwhile, Travel Channel to broadcast a half hour programme from WTM to more than 80 countries in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. It is the second year WTM has worked with Travel Channel.
The Travel Channel programme will report on the latest exhibitor developments, new products and services and key issues during WTM on November 8-11.
Ms Jeffery said: “Although this is a business to business exhibition, the partnership provides valuable additional consumer coverage for exhibitors and visitors as well as keeping holidaymakers in touch with the latest trends and developments.
“It is important that holidaymakers understand the significance and importance of the business conducted during World Travel Market week.
“What is discussed and negotiated here will influence their future holiday trends and choices.”
