Colletts Travel appoints MD
Luxury travel agent, Colletts Travel, has appointed Neil Robinson in the newly-created role of managing director.
Colletts Travel was acquired by US Travel Leaders Group in January 2017.
Former Colletts Travel founders Roy Collett and Michael Berlin will remain active in the business, offering Robinson guidance and operational support.
A statement said Collett will serve as brand ambassador for Colletts Travel, ‘transitioning his focus from an operational remit to promoting the brand by strengthening relations and networking with suppliers and clients’.
Robinson founded Corporate Style Travel, operating as an Independent Travel Advisor under Protravel International, also a Travel Leaders Group business.
He will oversee Colletts’ Hendon and Fortune offices, reporting to Jason Oshiokpekhai, managing director of Colletts Travel, Scotia Travel, Protravel International UK and Tzell Travel Group UK.
Oshiokpekhai said the appointment would ‘pave the way for the next period of growth’ for the brand.
"Neil’s enthusiasm for the travel industry, alongside his experience in running his own successful business at Protravel, means that he is well-positioned to embrace the role of managing director at Colletts Travel," he said.
"The luxury travel sector is a burgeoning market in the UK and Neil’s background will help to streamline our efforts for potential growth areas as we look to strengthen our network and expand our talented team of agents and independent contractors."
Founded in 1983, Colletts Travel currently also has a standalone division in Rossendale, Lancashire.
