Commissions going weekly
Pegasus Solutions will start weekly commission payments from hotels to travel agents starting next year, the company announced.
Pegasus’s commissioning process, used by 35,000 hotels, processes an average of $40 million in hotel commissions each month, according to the Dallas-based company.
Along with allowing hotel brands to choose the frequency of commissions, Pegasus announced it would also begin offering direct deposits outside the US. Currently, only US-based agency members use direct deposit.
“The increasing globalization of our customer base, coupled with today’s general expectation of immediate, electronic processes, drove us to develop enhanced systems for the future,” said Bob Boles, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Pegasus.
Pegasus customers include the majority of the world’s travel agencies in more than 200 countries.
