Companies losing out by not integrating self-booking tools
Corporations are losing out by not integrating self-booking tools with their expense management.
The claim comes from an Amadeus study in conjunction with Cranfield University and the Association of Corporate Travel Executives.
The online study found that although 45% of companies had integrated an SBT with their corporate intranet only 9% had integrated it with their expense management management system.
Despite the low integration levels respondents felt the process would increase productivity through time saved on reporting travel expenses, automatic transfer of information and a reduction in manual work.
In addition, a recent study by technology research company Aberdeen Group revealed that the cost of processing expense reports automatically is $15.10 compared to $31.40 doing it manually.
