Conferma smoothes low cost carrier bookings for TMCs

Travel expense technology suppliers Conferma says its customers will now be able to book, reconcile and settle low-cost carrier transactions using its product.

The company says it has created a virtual card which corporates and their travel management companies use to pay for low cost carrier bookings in a secure environment.

Conferma said the booking will be dealt with by the card whether it was made on a GDS, on the LCC’s own website or through a third party booking platform.

It says full audit trails will be possible thanks to powerful matching data.

Conferma’s product is available as an independent API (application programming interface) and can support any programming language and work with existing infrastructure and booking systems.

Conferma CEO Simon Barker said: “Corporates have told us they want a more controlled and streamlined process as well as a better audit trail on their low cost carrier spend so, with a proven track record in the hotel sector, we are now pioneering T&E virtual reconciliation and settlement technology in the low cost carrier field.

“This is part of a planned roll-out of Conferma’s offering to other areas such as car rental, rail and other areas of corporate spend.”
