Contiki adds new Asia tours
Youth travel brand Contiki has announced its latest trip launch in Asia, adding four new Asia tours to the continent’s top destinations.
It includes the launch of Contiki’s first-ever trip to Borneo – an increasingly popular ecotourism destination.
In a recent survey conducted by Contiki, it revealed that 29% of travellers aged 18-35 actively seek out sustainable and responsible travel experiences.
The new tours tap into this, helping young adventurers unlock the best cultural and wildlife experiences in Asia.
This can be seen on the new Borneo trip, which includes exclusive MAKE TRAVEL MATTER Experiences to sanctuaries for endangered Orangutans and Sun Bears, contributing to the advancement of UN Sustainability Goal Number 15: Life on Land.
In addition to the ‘Borneo Adventure’, the launch will see island hopping around the Philippines, touring the best parts of China and India’s hot spots.
BORNEO ADVENTURE
Contiki’s very first trip to the Malaysian part of Borneo unlocks wildlife species only found in this part of the world – orangutans, pygmy elephants, sun bears, proboscis monkeys and more. The nine-day Borneo tour visits the famous Bako National Park and spends a day on the Selingan Turtle Island to witness turtles laying eggs on the beach. The trip also includes a cruise over Kinabatangan River for more wildlife watching.
Contiki’s nine-day Borneo Adventure itinerary is priced from £2,105 per person, including accommodation, with eight departures between March and October 2025.
PHILIPPINES ISLAND HOPPING EAST
After its launch in early 2024, Contiki’s ‘Philippines Island Hopping’ has already attracted high demand. The brand has now launched another version of the trip, visiting four new islands in the eastern part of the Philippines. Kicking off in Cebu City, travellers will have the chance to see dolphins in the wild, and even witness a sardine run (a rare mass migration that happens in very few places in the world) on a snorkelling adventure. Travellers will also get to dine on an authentic Filipino 8-course meal in Bohol. The trip includes flights and boat transfers between islands.
Contiki’s 10-day Philippines Island Hopping East itinerary is priced from £1,323 per person, including accommodation, with several departures throughout 2025 and 2026.
ULTIMATE PHILIPPINES ISLAND HOPPING
Travellers who want to cover both the eastern and western parts of the Philippines, can now choose to book the ‘Ultimate Philippines Island Hopping’ trip for the full experience. Moving from Boracay, to Port Barton and onto El Nido, guests can select to conclude the trip with a special stay on Darocotan Island, making the journey 22 days in total. Here, they’ll visit an eco-garden with beachfront views, supporting local marine conservation in a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER experience. Travellers will sample local food, snorkel, chase waterfalls and visit a local jewellery making workshop.
Contiki’s 22-day Ultimate Philippines Island Hopping itinerary is priced from £2,528 per person, including accommodation, with several departures throughout 2025 and 2026.
CHINA ADVENTURE
As part of the launch, Contiki has reintroduced its popular trip, ‘China Adventure’. The 12-day trip is a great option for travellers who find it difficult to navigate the country due to language barriers and its vast size, offering a social, group-touring experience to get the most out of the country. Travellers will get the chance to tour Beijing with a local guide, see Xi’An’s terracotta warriors, sample street food, visit a panda sanctuary and see the Great Wall of China.
Contiki’s 12-day China Adventure itinerary is priced from £2,313 per person, including accommodation, with several departures throughout 2025 and 2026.
ETERNAL INDIA EXPRESS
The nine-day ‘Eternal India Express’ is a great option for travellers who want to tick off India’s hotspots on a budget, in just over a week. The trip visits Delhi, Agra, Udaipur, Jaipur, and Ranthambore. Travellers will get entry tickets to the Taj Mahal, go on a tiger safari in Ranthambore, and even tour Old Delhi’s streets in a tuktuk. Foodies will also be welcomed into the home of local Himanshu and his family, where the group will help prepare cooked curry, fresh naan bread and chapati, whilst learning about cooking traditions.
Contiki’s nine-day Eternal India Express itinerary is priced from £1,148 per person, including accommodation, with several departures throughout 2025 and 2026.
Kelly Jackson, Managing Director, TTC Tour Brands, EMEA said: “Expanding our range of trips in Asia has been on the top of our agenda for a couple of years.”
“We’ve focused on making these trips budget-friendly for our young travellers, lowering our base prices.”
“Borneo is a hidden gem. On our new trip, travellers will get to get to fully immerse themselves in the incredible nature of Borneo.”
