Contiki rates travellers’ dollars

Contiki has produced up-to-the minute realistic travelling cost conversions which compare the costs of travelling solo and joining an all-inclusive Contiki tour, a fantastic sales tool for consultants.

Consultants should take advantage of the value of escorted touring when selling to Gen Y and Gen X, and to help close sales Contiki has produced a Rate Your Dollar flyer which highlights the realistic costs of staples when travelling solo, like breakfast, accommodation and sightseeing.

Travellers need not just take Contiki’s word for it, they can work it out for themselves…they can go further, see and do more with Contiki.

An average day in France for example would cost a solo traveller around AUD$210 a day – start the day perhaps with a café latte and croissant at the Café Moulin, 4.50Euro, then take a city sightseeing tour, 25Euro, spend a night at the Hotel Arley Tour Eiffel, 70Euro, plus a days travel on the Metro, 5.50Euro, and a two course dinner with a glass of wine at the Café de Flore, 20 Euro, it really does add up.

Compare this with Contiki’s new Europe Time Out and Concept program, which has Europe tours priced from $119 per day which includes transport, accommodation, sightseeing and most meals, and you can see Contiki’s trips really add up to unbeatable value.

Tammy Marshall, MD Contiki Holidays said, “Generation X and Generation Y are both driven by price point, especially on big ticket items like an overseas trip.

“We know how expensive travel can be, but we also know how to help you cut those costs for clients without cutting out experiences. As an added bonus to travellers Contiki also has great discounts available including early payment discounts, mix-and-match discounts and group discounts which should also be taken advantage of.

“We are dedicated to the trade and are always moving forward with proactive ides to help agents reach travellers in the youth market and close sales. Our Rate Your Dollar collateral is another way we are out there supporting our industry partners. We advise agents to really utilise these Rate Your Dollar flyers with their clients, and think outside the square…because while many of your regular clients may not be 18 to 35 your clients’ children, grandchildren and family friends probably are. “

Contiki’s 07 08 Time Out and Concept brochures are available now! For more information see www.contiki.com or to get your hands on Rate Your Dollar flyers see your local Contiki BDM.
