Continental improves agent access to web fares
Continental is offering US agents full access to fares if they ‘absorb’ part of the fee.
The carrier has already signed up to schemes that offer Sabre and Galileo-connected agents preferred fares. The new scheme, called Priority Access, means ARC-accredited agents using Worldspan or Amadeus will also now have access to Continental’s lowest fares.
The scheme requires agents to agree to absorb a $1 per segment fee, which Continental has agreed to cap at $3 per ticket. Northwest Airlines launched a similar programme earlier this year.
