Continental resumes seasonal London-Cleveland link
Seasonal daily flights between Heathrow and Cleveland are being started by Continental Airlines this weekend.
The route replaces the previous seasonal service between Gatwick and Cleveland.
The Heathrow-Cleveland service will operate until September 27 with flights departing from London at 11:40 and arriving in Cleveland at 15:30. The return flight will depart Cleveland daily at 20:25 and arrive in London at 09:15 the next day.
The service will be operated by Boeing 757 aircraft, seating 16 passengers in BusinessFirst and 159 in economy.
Cleveland is Continental’s third-largest US hub, with the airline serving 63 cities with more than 180 daily flights.
Jim Summerford, Continental’s vice president Europe, Middle East & India, said: “As well as providing a unique link for the business communities on both sides of the Atlantic, the service gives leisure passengers from the U.K. easier access to tourist attractions in the Great Lakes area and beyond.”
