Corporate Flyers make Christmas dreams come true!
Two of Australia’s leading leisure groups will team up for one fun filled day of festivities tomorrow when 80 special kids and their families from Sydney take part in the “Virgin Blue Sleigh Ride to Dreamworld” this Tuesday.
For the third year in a row Dreamworld will jump on board with Virgin Blue to create a December to remember for those doing it tough this Christmas. Adding a wild surprise to the stocking, which already includes a chartered Virgin Blue flight to Coolangatta, a meeting with Santa and a full day at Dreamworld and WhiteWater World, the group will meet Dreamworld’s Sumatran tiger cubs, Indah and Rahni, born on Tiger Island in March this year.
Sydney radio station Mix 106.5 was inundated with stories of hardship and survival when they asked listener’s to nominate kids and families who deserved a special day out. Among them is a single mother of two recovering from an operation to remove a tumour, a couple with a two year old boy facing a kidney transplant and a young teenager struggling with a disease that is fast attacking his vision.
The entire event is supported by keen and willing volunteers including Virgin Blue crew members who donate their time to operate the special flight as well corporate supporters who provide everything from gifts, food and beverages, waiving of landing fees at Gold Coast Airport and transfers by Surfside bus.
Now that’s the spirit of Christmas!
