Costa to take control of sales in Australasia
Costa Cruises in Asia Pacific is taking charge of its Australia sales operation as it prepares to welcome one of its latest ships in February next year with the arrival of its 92,700 ton Deliziosa to Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
Costa said it is changing its approach to sales distribution and support in Australasia from the end of next month.
From August 1, Costa Cruise’s Asia Pacific operations team will directly manage sales enquiries and related support activities.
Complete Cruise Solution will continue to support travel agents in selling cruises on Costa ships until that time “to ensure a smooth transition,†the cruise company said.
“The Australasian market continues to experience phenomenal growth and we believe these changes will create the opportunity for our Asian offices to focus on the region and look for opportunities,†said Dario Rustico, Costa Cruises vice president sales & marketing Pacific Asia.
