Courtyard by Marriott debuts in Cambodia
The first Courtyard by Marriott in Cambodia has been unveiled with the opening of Courtyard by Marriott Siem Reap Resort.
It also represents Marriott International’s first hotel in Cambodia which will be soon followed by a second when Courtyard Phnom Penh opens later this year.
It has 233 guestrooms and suites furnished in a contemporary style, an innovative lobby space and serves up locally inspired food and beverages.
It is located only 15 minutes away from Angkor Wat and a short ride from Siem Reap’s vibrant Pub Street district.
"Marriott International is tremendously excited about the future of Courtyard by Marriott in such an important emerging market as Cambodia," said Shu Ping Liang, Marriott’s director of brand and marketing.
"Tourism in Cambodia is on an upward trajectory."
The ASEAN region has become a strong focus area for the brand.
Courtyard by Marriott IloIlo Hotel in the Philippines recently opened and further openings in Myanmar, Malaysia and Vietnam are slated over the next few years.
It now has 1,100 locations in 50 countries and territories.
