Cruise guest arrested when boarding ship
A cruise passenger has been arrested in Alaska accused of embezzling thousands of dollars.
Karen Bryan, 64 was detained when trying to board a cruise ship.
She was arrested pending extradition to Laramie County in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
She was wanted in connection to the embezzlement of funds from a church.
Laramie County Sheriff Brian Kozak announced the arrest in a video message posted online, entitled ‘God Works in Mysterious Ways.’
Alaska law enforcement coordinated with the Sheriff’s Office to make the arrest he said.
“Our deputies are responsible for picking up wanted fugitives throughout the United States,” Sheriff Kozak said in the video. “
“There was one person who was wanted here locally for allegedly embezzling thousands of dollars from a church. She was contacted by law enforcement in Alaska as she was boarding a cruise ship, and has been arrested.”
