Cruise illness in New Orleans
Holidaymakers on Carnival’s newest ship has been hit by a bout of gastrointestinal illness.
Around 250 of the 3,000 guests reported symptoms of gastroenteritis on board Carnival Conquest, at the end of a seven-day Caribbean cruise.
Conquest was able to depart on its next cruise on December 15, although the ship was delayed for aggressive sanitation.
US agents were told they could give clients the option of cancelling their cruise and receiving a full refund if they were unhappy about sailing.
