Cruise industry salutes its stars
International Cruise Council Australasia has recognised the industry’s top travel consultants and agencies for 2011.
Cruise Council chairman Gavin Smith said the travel agent community has played a key role in the growth of the local cruise industry.
For the second consecutive year, the top Australian Cruise Agency of the Year award went to Bicton Travel from Western Australia, while silver was awarded to Cruiseabout Turramurra (New South Wales) and Phil Hoffmann Travel Glenelg (South Australia) picked up bronze.
Phil Hoffmann was awarded the Neil Frazer Award for an Outstanding Contribution by an Individual.
Other Australian category award winners included:
Cruise Consultant of the Year – Roland Kautzky: Cruiseabout, Port Melbourne
Agency Promotion of the Year – Just Cruises, Brisbane for “Cruise Sale Week”
Rising Star Award – Jamii-Lee Alpen: Ozcruising, Phillip ACT
New Zealand winners were:

Gold: iCruise: Auckland
Silver: Lets Cruise: Auckland
Bronze: Cruise Republic: Auckland
