MSC Cruises has announced that its cruises will not call at Tunis this year following recent public protests in Tunisia.

The following ships will spend a day at sea instead of visiting the city:
  • MSC Fantasia from April 16 to October 15
  • MSC Splendida from April 10 to November 6
  • MSC Lirica from April 18 to October 7
  • MSC Sinfonia from June 4 to October 15
A spokesman for the operator said that should the situation change, original itineraries will be reinstated.
