Cruise specialist agency collapses

Sunday, 11 May, 2005 0

Specialist cruise travel agency Sealand Cruising has ceased trading.

The agency, which ran the www.onlycruising.com website, collapsed on Monday. The website is no longer functioning.

Sealand was bonded with the Travel Trust Association and the TTA is dealing with all customer enquiries.

Calls to Sealand, based in Richmond, North Yorkshire, were being referred to the TTA.

A recorded message said: “These offices are now closed – we are very sorry for any inconvenience.” Sealand described itself as the “UK’s leading cruise specialists with over 10,000 cruise deals worldwide.”

TTA head of operations Gary Lewis said all customers and suppliers would be protected.

He was unable to comment on levels of forward cruise bookings, the reason for the failure or staff numbers involved at the agency.
