P&O Cruises is offering the chance to escape winter and enjoy a European summer sojourn next year, with a new program of nine spectacular voyages to some of the continent’s most memorable cities.

P&O Cruises’ five white superliners – Oceana, Oriana, Aurora, the new, child-free Arcadia and the new-look, child-free Artemis – will sail from Southampton in the UK on a series of destination-rich voyages to Scandinavia, the Baltic and the Mediterranean. The cruises will sail from April to October 2006 and range from 12 to 17 nights.

The European selection includes:

 A 12-night cruise to the spectacular fjords of Norway aboard Oriana departing June 9, 2006, priced from A$2370 per person*

 An exotic 14-night voyage sailing on September 2, 2006, aboard Artemis bound for the Baltic destinations of Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Finland, Germany and Denmark. Fares start from A$2700 per person*

 A grand 14-night Mediterranean cruise on Oceana on May 15, 2006, sailing to Spain, France, Italy and Gibraltar. Fares start from A$2580 per person*

* Fares are based on a complete twin cabin and include all main meals and entertainment onboard. Subject to availability, conditions apply.

P&O Cruises’ Managing Director in Australia, Gavin Smith, said the line’s expanded UK fleet offered passengers the chance to enjoy a classic British cruising experience on state-of-the-art ships.

“An increasing number of travellers are discovering that cruising is the ideal way to see the many sights of Europe.

“With P&O Cruises, passengers can relax and enjoy the comforts of their ship, as they visit some of Europe’s most spectacular destinations without the hassle of border-crossing and hotel hopping.
It’s the perfect summer sojourn,” Mr Smith said.
