Cruising by rail partnership extended for ’09
Peter Deilmann Cruises and Great Rail Journeys are expanding co-operation with a 2009 brochure including rail travel to connect with European river trips.
The programme combines first class rail travel to join cruises starting in Lyon, Paris, Prague, Potsdam, Amsterdam and Basel.
The brochure offers more than 50% additional capacity over this year on Deilmann ships on the Rhone, Seine, Elbe and Rhine.
More than 25 departure dates between April and October next are featured and with fares starting at £1,375.
Julian Appleyard, product development manager at Great Rail Journeys, said: “Cruising by rail holidays are becoming an increasingly popular choice amongst our customers.
“This important partnership with Peter Deilmann Cruises will ensure that Great Rail Journeys are able to further develop this growing area of our business.
“The synergies between both companies are very strong. People appreciate the variety and quality of the tours that we both offer and we are now able to extend our offerings, providing a wider choice of highly sought after holidays.â€
Peter Deilmann Cruises managing director Stuart Perl said: “The partnership is an excellent match of two well established, trusted brands, both of whom reflect the same high standards of service and care for our guests.â€
