Crystal Cruises says yoga classes are a first
Crystal Cruises says it is an industry first: men’s-only and couples/partner yoga offerings.
“On each individual World Cruise segment, a full-time Pilates instructor will lead group sessions on the brand new Reformer machines. More than 25 different Pilates reformer and mat classes will include Pilates for golf, tennis and ballroom dance,” says the cruise line.
“The comprehensive wellness programming set for the 2011 voyage will suit guests seeking a physical challenge, as well as those who want to explore the restorative aspects of these disciplines,” said Chris Corrigall, manager of entertainment.
Private instruction with guest teachers and Crystal’s personal trainers is also available for a fee.
Suited for both experienced practitioners and new students, classes will be available on days at sea.
Ashore, guests can explore the spiritual roots of wellness at Sri Lanka’s Kelaniya Temple, Myanmar’s Chanmyay Yeiktha Monastery, famous for its study of Buddhist meditation, and the Shri Mahasala Hindu temple in Marmagao.
