CWT logs milestone with first live NDC booking
Travel management company CWT announced a milestone for its Level-4 NDC-certified solution.
It performed the first successful live NDC booking through Amadeus Selling Platform Connect.
The ticket, issued on American Airlines, was done within an actual production environment, CWT said.
The Level-4 NDC-certified solution allows users to shop, book, pay, cancel, refund, void and exchange tickets.
"This is a tremendous milestone in the NDC journey and is an early stage indicator of what can be achieved with industry and technology cooperation," said Erik Magnuson, CWT’s VP of air distribution capabilities.
CWT is continuing with its NDC pilot programs and will issue updates on further developments by the end of the year.
Neil Geurin, director of distribution strategy at American Airlines said: "Today’s announcement by CWT is another key milestone for American in making our NDC-enabled content more broadly available to our customers."
