CWT wins more government business travel

Saturday, 07 Jun, 2007 0

Carlson Wagonlit Travel has won a three year business travel contract by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).

CWT, which had managed air and rail travel for the Inland Revenue for more than a decade, has from April also provided services to the whole of HMRC to enable a consolidation of travel spend.

The successful tender also sees CWT winning the contract for hotel and conferencing business for the organisation from July 1. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

CWT public sector director Nigel Turner said:  “We are delighted to be consolidating the travel management for the HMRC, which will give their employees a ‘one stop’ booking service.

“This new contract illustrates how we are continuing to build extremely strong credentials within the public sector. Last year, we were delighted to be awarded preferred supplier status for the OGC buying.solutions business travel framework contract – one of the largest in the UK.”
