Deirdre Wells takes on new role
UKinbound chief executive Deirdre Wells has been appointed chair of the Tourism Alliance, which represents 53 organisations.
Prior to joining UKinbound, Wells was the government’s head of tourism.
In her new role, she will lobby the government in the UK and Brussels on key strategic issues that face the domestic, inbound and outbound tourism industries, including the Brexit negotiations.
She said: "I’m honoured to be asked to take on the chairmanship of this excellent organisation at a time of real challenge for the industry."
