Delta Air Lines facing anti-semitic lawsuit from cabin crew
Delta Air Lines is being accused of discrimination with an ‘anti-Jewish, Hebrew, and ethnic Israeli attitude,’ according to a lawsuit filing this week.
At least four flight attendants claimed discrimination against Delta, with one being fired for no other reason than being Jewish, the complaint states.
Another flight attendant says she was sanctioned and ‘Travel Companion’ pass privileges were stopped for giving one to a long time Jewish friend.
The same crew member said she was forced to sop working the New York to Tel Aviv route as it became ‘hostile" and intimidating.’
The suit claims Delta believes Jewish and Israeli people ‘are aggressive and inappropriate and engage in what are deemed to be ‘strange’ behaviors like requiring special dietary accommodations (kosher meals).’
The lawsuit seeks compensation for discrimination and the reinstating of the fired crew member.
Delta unsurprisingly denies the allegations.
"As a global airline that brings people across the world together every day, Delta values diversity in all aspects of its business and has zero tolerance for discrimination. Delta strongly condemns the allegations of discrimination described in this suit and will defend itself vigorously against them."
