Delta appoints sales VP for West Coast
Delta Air Lines has appointed Ranjan Goswami to lead its West Coast sales team.
Goswami becomes the new vice president, sales – West Region and will be responsible for the Los Angeles, Salt Lake City and Seattle markets, with the latter in particularly seeing rapid growth as Delta battles for dominance at Sea-Tac airport with rival Alaska Airlines.
He will be based in Los Angeles and served previously as managing director – West Region and director – customer experience planning and development at Delta.
He has Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science from Yale University and is an influential board member at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce.
"Ranjan and his team continues to drive growth and accelerate Delta’s presence on the West Coast with a strategic focus on key account growth and support for the highly influential entertainment and technology sectors," said Ed Bastian, Delta president.
"Having a strategic, innovative leader in Los Angeles is critical to continuing our momentum while we deliver great service and strengthen our roots in the community."
