Delta hikes bag fees
Delta Air Lines has joined its peers in raising fees for checked bags.
The airline said the fee for the first and second checked bag went up by $5 on most domestic and short-haul international flights.
It now costs $35 for the first checked bag and $45 for the second.
It is Delta’s first checked bag fee hike in over five years.
The fee continues to be waived for Delta SkyMiles Medallion members and first-class fliers.
In just the past few weeks, American Airlines, United, JetBlue and Alaska Airlines have all hiked checked bag fees.

Because a collective 5.5 billion in baggage fees in the first 9 months of 2023 was not enough. What a shame that the general public has no leverage unless they unite to support Southwest Airlines -- they continue to be the most hassle free airline to book, and to fly. No gimmicks, no tricks -- GO SOUTHWEST!!!
