Delta starts Edinburgh flights from Atlanta
Delta Air Lines has launched Edinburgh flights from main hub Atlanta.
The daily nonstop service joins existing daily flights to Edinburgh from New York-JFK and Boston.
The route returns after more than a decade.
“These Edinburgh flights give our customers more than 200 onward destinations across the United States and beyond,” said Paul Hassenstab, Director Sales EMEA and India.
Delta says it has more travel options to the US from Scotland than any other airline.
It includes one-stop connections to the west coast cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco, Florida and more.
Gordon Dewar, Edinburgh Airport CEO said, “We are thrilled to offer another connection to the US by connecting these two fantastic cities.”
Delta’s Edinburgh-Atlanta service is operated in conjunction with partners, Air France KLM, and Virgin Atlantic.
It uses 216-seat Boeing 767-300 aircraft with three cabin classes: Delta One, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin.
In Atlanta, Delta is by far the largest carrier operating up to 850 peak-day flights:
