Design hotel to open on Boracay
Luxury hotel operator, YOO Hotels and Resorts, will open its first luxury resort in the Philippines in December 2015.
The beachfront Aqua Boracay by YOO will open at the same time as Boracay island’s newly-upgraded airport.
The five-star property on Bulabog Beach will have 168 spacious guestrooms and suites with wrap-around terraces, most of them overlooking the sea.
It will also have a lagoon pool facing the sea, a second rectangular pool, and sunbeds arranged alongside the beach.
The 300 sqm spa will include a health club and yoga studio.
Mark Davison, Design Director, YOO Studio said: "We fell in love with the Island of Boracay when designing the project and we hope it shows in the personal, locally inspired experience we have created."
YOO Hotels and Resorts is part of YOO, the global design brand crearted by designers such as Philippe Starck, Marcel Wanders, Jade Jagger, Kelly Hoppen and Steve Leung, led by Mark Davison.
