DFDS introduces flexible pricing to short breaks programme
New flexible pricing and earlier booking discounts feature in a new DFDS Seaways’ Short Break programme for 2008.
Breaks are bookable via DFDS Seaways’ new agent online booking service, www.dfds.co.uk/agent and are commissionable.
The launch is being supported with a merchandising campaign, visiting 800 travel agents in the North and Scotland focusing on short breaks departing from Newcastle to Amsterdam and Bergen and Stavanger in Norway.
DFDS will also visit 700 agents in the South of the country highlighting the range of short breaks that are available from Harwich to Denmark starting at £81 per person.
The brochure is divided into four sections – city cruise breaks, superior cruise breaks, family breaks and special breaks.
UK sales manager Andrew Crowe said: “2007 was a very successful year for the short breaks packages, with growth in Scotland and the North in excess of 20% year on year for City and Short Break products.
“Recognising that these breaks are clearly appealing to consumers we have replicated this winning formula with a wide range of inviting trips. We are confident that the brochure will appeal to a wide range of different customer groups.”
